We want to recognize what a fantastic job our 5th graders did on their Living Wax Museum project! They have spent many weeks researching, writing, and memorizing their speeches, as well as putting their boards together and finding their costumes and props. We are so proud of them and the work they put into this project!
Enjoy the video on our Facebook account to see what historical figures we had join us this year!
Car riders will be held inside until buses depart at 2:50pm. Once buses have left, we will use the bus lane for car pickup. Please stay in line and pull up in front of the building.

They also took time to dissect and explore the different parts of an egg as part of their science unit. There’s a lot of excitement in the room as they patiently wait for their baby chicks to hatch soon!
Great work, Kindergarten! 🐣

A big thank you to our high school volunteers for sharing their time and energy with us. It’s always great to have older students in the building serving as positive role models for our younger learners!
We wrapped up the day with a visit from Kona Ice to “cool off.” We may have been wishing for temperatures about 20 degrees warmer, but it didn’t slow us down—we still had a great time!

Further - a shout-out to staff and students for a well-executed shelter-in-place during the tornado warning earlier today. Everyone was sheltered safely and accounted for within minutes (just like we practice) and stayed sheltered until the warning was lifted.
Nice work, East!

Mrs. Roberts brings care, energy, and positivity to her classroom every day, and it shows in the way her students learn and grow. We’re grateful to have her as part of our school—congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Mrs. Roberts!

We’d also like to recognize and thank Ms. Hanners for her dedication and support in helping our students grow and showcase their creativity. Great work by all involved—we’re proud of you!

We’re sharing a few photos from our 1st grade group, but all three grade levels had a fantastic time on their visit.
A big thank you to the FFA students and Mr. McCabe for organizing this fun and engaging experience for our kids each year.

Our Kindergarten Orientation Night will be held at Unity East next week on Monday, April 13 from 6-7pm.

If you have a child who will be joining us for Kindergarten in the fall, please complete the following survey.
Information from the survey will allow us to contact you with Kindergarten information and add your child to our Kindergarten lists. Please contact the school office with any questions.
Kindergarten is open to students turning 5 by Sept. 1, 2026.
Know a family with an incoming kindergartener who doesn't already have kids with us?
Help us both out and share this information with them. Thanks!
