RE: Opening of Unit 7 School in 2021-2022

Registration for Unit Seven Schools will take place at each building on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 12:00-7:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  Both days will be held at your child’s school; like last year, there will not be centralized registration held at Unity Junior High School.  For students returning to Unit Seven, registration forms will be available online on July 30, 2021.  Please visit your school’s website to find the online forms.  For new students and Kindergarten students, please check the school website for additional information regarding the registration process.

The first day of attendance for students in grades 1st - 12th is Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  This will be a full day of school.  School buses will run regular routes starting on Wednesday, August 18th.  Busing information will be available at registration.  This information is subject to change at any time due to possible changes within our learning environment.

Kindergarten conferences will be held on August 18th and 19th.  Kindergarten parents will be contacted by their child’s teacher to sign up for a conference.  The first day of attendance for Kindergarten students is Friday, August 20, 2021.  All students entering Kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1, 2021.

Textbook rental fees for the 2021-2022 school year are $145 for K-8th and $180 for 9th-12th.  Additional course fees will be charged for some courses at Unity High School.  Textbook fees should be paid at the time of registration.

Kindergarten, 6th grade, 9th grade, and new students must have a physical examination and present the certificate of health approved by a licensed Illinois physician. Ninth graders are required to have a dental exam as well.  These forms are available at each school building.  The district expectations are that each student be in compliance with the State of Illinois Immunization and Health Standards by the first day of school.  All Kindergarten students and all new students to Unit Seven Schools have 30 days from the opening of school to submit their physical to the office.

If there are any questions, please contact your child’s building principal/school office.
