April is Autism Awareness month! Everyone in the district is invited to order a t-shirt to support the acceptance and inclusion of students in our schools who have autism. We will be wearing the shirts every Friday in April. Please see Mrs. Graves in the library if you are interested in ordering a t-shirt. Shirts will be delivered by Ms. Alpers at the beginning of March. The deadline to place an order is February 20th.

A representative from the Parkland Pathway program will be here Wednesday, February 26th during 5th hour. They have requested that this be a senior only event. Sign up in the Guidance Office if you are interested. 

 

Attention students and staff: You can place now place your order in the office for wrestling state shirts. The shirts are grey with short sleeves and logo on the front; you can choose to have the state qualifiers’ name on the back or just a plain back. The shirts are $15 and orders need to be in by Friday, Feb 14.

P7 will meet today after school.  Snacks will be provided.

 

The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office is starting a Law Enforcement Explorer’s group for young men and women ages 14-20.  Anyone expressing interest in this brand new program, please see Officer Franzen.

Unity FCA Huddle will meet on Wednesday, February 12 at 7:15am in the Drivers Ed room. Everyone is welcome. Come hang out, eat some food, spread some love and have some fun with us. Bring your friends. If you have any questions please see Coach Davis or Kyleigh Dubson. 

There will be no baking club today after school today.

The Unity Girls Track and Field Program kicked off their indoor season Friday night at the Armory in Champaign.  The Rockets were led with impressive performances by Kylie Decker 1st and Elizabeth Hulick 3rd in the 1600M, the 4x400 team of Lilly Styan, Kaitlyn Reedy, Arianna Pruitt-LeFaivre, and Kylie Decker was 3rd, Aliyah McDaniel was 1st and Aly Bagwell was 3rd in the Shot Put, Maci Kraft was 1st and Alyssa Hartman was 3rd in the Long Jump, and Arianna Pruitt-LeFairve was 1st and Suzie Migut was 2nd in the Triple Jump.  The performances by Kylie Decker and Aliyah McDaniel moved them onto some impressive leaderboards.  Kylie's 5:26.57 is the 6th fastest 1600M in the state of Illinois and Aliyah's throw of 43'1 is the second best in Illinois and tied for the 17th best throw in the nation.  The girls will be back in action next week at the Armory on Friday night.
