Tonight’s Events:

Activity Period: Thursday-Student Council

Welcome back!

Just a reminder students- cell phones are to be placed in your car, locker, or book bag.  Cell phones are to be off at all times and only can be used in the building prior to 8:00 am and after 3:00 pm.  Any student found in possession of a cell phone during the school day, with the cell phone on, will receive one Saturday school and be required to take all finals.

Food and Beverages: Please follow these guidelines as outlined in our student handbook- Students are not permitted to bring food or beverages into the building.  Students are not permitted to leave the cafeteria with food or beverages. Students are not allowed to bring food or beverages into the classroom.  Students who violate this policy face disciplinary action.  Students may only bring food or beverages into the classroom at the discretion of the instructor for educational purposes pre-approved by the administration.

A reminder to all students that Unity High School will open in the morning at 7:45 and will close to students at 3:45 in the afternoon.  No student is to be in the building prior to 7:45 or after 3:45 unless supervised by a teacher.  Please make the necessary arrangements to be picked up after school prior to 3:45 and dropped off for school in the morning after 7:45.

Attention students: please be careful as you drive out of the parking lot, making sure to obey all posted speed limits (15 mph).  Failure to obey posted speed limits could result in a lost of driving privileges and/or a speeding ticket.  All student drivers are to exit the campus via the EAST drive.  Student pick up after school is directly behind the jr high and senior high.  Please be aware of the fact that students are difficult to see as they walk between cars.  Please be careful to ensure that we do not have any accidents in the parking lots.

Happy new school year Unity!  We hope you enjoyed your welcome back messages from student council!  Let’s all have a GREAT year!

Attention freshmen:  Are you a natural born leader?  Do you want to make a difference this year?  Would you like to be more involved in school activities?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, consider running for a class officer position.  There are class officer interest forms available in the office. If you’d like to learn more, there will be an informational meeting about this and student council on Wednesday at 8 AM in room 7.

Homecoming will be here before we know it!  Help student council in figuring out what days of the week should be by completing the form—check your emails for it, and let Mrs. Meyer or Mrs. Sharp if you did not get one!

Attention Students: it is time to order U-Crew t-shirts!  With a t-shirt purchase, students will receive a pass to get into all home, non-tournament sporting events for free.  T-shirts will be $15.  You may order through Thursday in the office and you must pay when ordering.

The cafeteria has a new milk company and all of the cartons are blue!  Please look at the cartons carefully when making your choice. We have Skim, White, Chocolate, and Strawberry.

If you are interested in joining Yearbook, please come to the library at 8 am on Monday!!

Rotary is sponsoring a writing contest for high school students. The First Place Prize is $500, and the Second Place Prize is $250. The deadline for submitting entries is September 21. Please stop by the office to pick up a Registration Form and Guidelines, if interested in this contest.
